What to Expect

How I work

Empathy is at the heart of everything I do.

I create a safe, understanding environment where everyone is welcome and valued.

Education is a cornerstone of care.

I help you understand your health.  We’ll explore the root causes of your concerns and develop a plan that is effective and comprehensible.

Empowerment is the goal.

Through clear communication and personalized guidance, I ensure you feel informed to make the best decisions for your health.

The Patient Journey

I follow a thorough and personalized process to provide you with the best care:

1. In-depth Consultation:

We start with a detailed discussion about your current concerns, lifestyle, and health history.

2. Comprehensive Assessment:

I may use additional diagnostic testing and physical exams to uncover the root causes of your health issues.

3. Personalized Education:

I provide clear, comprehensive information about your health and proposed treatment, ensuring you understand every aspect.

4. Customized Plan:

Together, we develop a treatment plan that may include diet and lifestyle changes, supplements and herbs, and other naturopathic therapies to manage symptoms, correct dysfunction, and promote healing.

5. Ongoing Support:

We assess your progress, answer questions, and make adjustments to ensure you continue to be empowered to reach your health goals.

Naturopathic Appointments

Before your appointment

You will receive an intake form to fill out online.

First appointment: 75 minutes (online or in-person)

This appointment is an in-depth review of your health.  We will discuss your goals, expectations, chief concerns, medical history, and any available lab testing/investigations you’ve already had (including arranging to obtain copies for your chart). Depending on your health concerns and needs, I may perform a complaint-oriented physical exam.  At the end of the visit I will provide a personalized treatment plan for you to get started and we will determine when your second appointment will occur.

Second appointment: 60 minutes (online or in-person)

In this appointment we will follow-up on your treatment plan, review available lab testing/investigations, and continue discussion of chief concerns, medical history, family history, and review of systems that we could not cover in the initial appointment. We will determine any additions/changes to your treatment plan and discuss any additional diagnostic investigations relevant to your case.

Follow-up visits: 30 to 45 minutes (online or in-person)

The frequency and length of these visits depend on your personalized treatment plan, health needs, and preference. At every follow-up we will review your treatment plan, monitor your progress, answer questions, and make adjustments to maintain progress toward your health goals.

Acute visits: 15 to 30 minutes (online or in-person)

You may have acute needs arise from time to time, whether recent test results you would like to review or illness (such as cold/flu, migraines, injuries, rashes, infection, surgery, etc).  I am available to review/interpret test results or assess and treat acute illness as needed. Each time we treat an acute concern, you will better understand your health and gain tools to address/prevent future illness.
